Fundraiser: Mountain Justice

The following is a benefit for Mountain Justice, a regional environmental group working on issues related to Mountaintop Removal Coal Mining throughout Appalachia.  Last year at the 2013 General Assembly, the Mountain Justice network was one of the groups in attendance for our Social Witness action in Lexington, KY alongside Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light and the Sierra Club. For more information on the group as a whole or how to get involved as a volunteer or make a donation, please contact Elizabeth Mount/ 720-560-5680 or uu4life@yahoo.com

Saro Lynch is an Appalachian ballad singer from Tennessee who currently resides in Asheville.  She grew up in the UU church and continues to celebrate UU values through her work on environmental and worker justice issues in Appalachia.
